Clicking noise 328i from behind on acceleration

I have this clicking sound that comes from the back of the car when I acceleratie. Its just one click when I put my foot on the gas and then one when I take it off.

What could this be? Should I take the car in?

It sounds like a loud metalic click..

FYI: I have the 8AT

MT or AT? If MT, this might be the dual-mass flywheel. My E92 has pretty much always done this. And it does sound like it's coming from the back. As long as you are under warranty and it is reproducible, I would have it checked out.

Fuel pump? I sometimes hear a similar ticking noise coming from the back of my e46.

Thats what I'm thinking but It's quite loud.. is yours similarly loud.??

I have to admit I'm just quoting what I've seen other people complaining or comment about re the exhaust valve - my F30 is still 6 weeks away. It's a simple job to permanently disable it (details in another thread somewhere here) but if it's that loud I'd get the dealer to fix it - it might be indicative of impending failure.
