2014 335 order placed

After much hesitation and reading through these boards, I have finally put my order in. My current lease ends this December and I know I'm going to miss my current car a lot.

My biggest concern about the new one is the electric steering. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get use to it.

I would buy my current car out, however, I got married last year, and my wife thinks it would be prudent to move on to a 4 door car. Guess, it's still better than having to get a mini van or something, haha.

Current car:
2011 335i x drive coupe M sport with PPK

New Car:
2014 335i x drive M sport...hopefully with PPK once we can order again
Premium
Nav
M sport brakes
Sport Auto with shifters
Diver Asst
Cold weather
Dynamic Handling
HK
Auto high beams
Side Top Cams

Nicely equipped (and similar to mine!). What color did you get?

Short answer, black sapphire metallic with coral red interior...same that I have now.

Long answer, I debated with BSM, Mineral Grey, and the EB.

Ruled out EB because I figured I might be more of a target for cops. My SA also warned me that I might get tired. But he also said that about coral red 6 six years ago, and I just ordered it for the third time (so I will have had it for 9 years). I think the EB looks great though.

Mineral Grey was really up there, and I thought for sure this was the color I was going with. Figured I was due for a change. However, after seeing it in person a couple times, it was just ah for me. Perhaps, the ones I saw were not clean and shined up; not sure. As smart, and good as MG can look, it just lacked something for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great color, but it just wasn't my favorite.

When I saw the BSM in person, it just looked so good. I knew I had to order this color again. I get so many compliments on my color combo now, and I love it which is the most important.

How about you trey100? What color combo?

Thanks mags!

I've had so many grey type cars I just couldn't do it again. I had black once (jet black E90 335) and I loved it clean but never could fully control the swirls no matter how careful I was. Went with AW with Black interior. Very close to going coral on the interior but thought it might border on feminine with the AW exterior. I'll probably regret that decision. I've seen it in person although not on AW and I though it was beautiful. I like that the red is in limited spots on the doors. Nice contrast.

Trey100, I think you made a great choice. You can't go wrong with that combo. Funny that you mentioned AW with coral because this morning on my commute to work I pulled up next to a E92 in that color combo. It did look pretty good.

Your going to be real happy with your choice. The AW makes the lines on the car pop so nicely. Can't wait to see some pics when you get it.

Thanks Frank_NJ...glad to hear you think BSM looks good even dirty, because I'm not the best at finding time to wash my car.

Congrats on the order. Looking to place an order on a similar car as yours just without the premium pack and side cam. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up paying for the car? Want to be prepared when I go to my local dealer here in NJ and place my order. Thanks

Marco

My SA is a long time family friend. When I ordered the car all he said when I asked the price was invoice less $300. Then we deduct any BMW incentives. I'm waiting for my car to get on a ship. Once it arrives and I pick it up I will know the final numbers.

Good luck with your purchase!
