My 335i M-Performance EstorilBlue

Hi *,

first there were the months spent reading thousands of posts in this forum; then there were the months waiting for my car being built; now that I could take delivery of my car, I'm looking forward to months full of joyful driving. :-)

My bimmer is a pretty much fully loaded 335i M-Sport with some M-Performance modifications: black kidney grills, black top stripes, floor mats, alu pedals, performance exhaust. I'm waiting for the full aerodynamic kit, the power kit and the performance suspension to become regular available; maybe I will then add some of the latter mods as well.

Delivery day in the BMW Welt was nice: starting with a breakfast, we went to the shop in the basement where we got a key chain engraved; we then did the factory tour, which was quite impressive; but the highlight was - of course - to see the brand new car and get into it. It was exactly as beautiful as imagined and the following road trip we did over the weekend (going to Austria and the alps) was sheer fun and driving pleasure. Unfortunately, the weather was quite snowy, so the bimmer got dirty very quickly and so I still have to take a bunch of shiny pictures.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me building up knowledge regarding the F30; now that I have it, I might come up with some more questions or help answering some of others by myself.

Kyle

These are winter wheels style 415; for the summer I have the 19" 403 wheels.

The black stripe & performance grill sort of begs for some black matte wheels, doesn't it?? I think they would look good on this car. Overall...looks good.

Love the black stripe on the blue. I would have thought the white was the way to go but that is tight!

I have found the stripe is a very polarizing add-on. I love it but people either love it or hate it, but i have found that those that hate it to start, find it grows on them with time.

My AW 335i is having the stripe added in the next week or so. As soon as the vinyl guy can fit me in.

@Monkeycmonkeydo:
Yeah, at first, I also thought that the white stripe would be the one to get because I feared that the black one would be nearly invisible on the blue. But now I think the black stripe is definitely the way to go: first, it is not so flashy as the white one; second, there is no other white thing on the car (besides, maybe, the aluminium wheels) but plenty of black details. All in all, it looks very classy. And believe me, in reality it looks even more stunning because the metallic effect of the estoril sets it a bit more apart from the black.

@Azzurro:
I will consider this; in a couple of month, when spring comes (and with it the summer performance tires), I will see what I can do.

When I got it right, the performance aerokit (front lip, back diffusor, spoiler) do for standard have this carbon look, don't they? On my car, I guess it would be a better fit if they were just plain black, so I would need to get them painted.

Best
Kyle

Congratulations. I like the stripe on the EB car better than on a white car. It's too much of a contrast on the lighter color (for me).

I'm was in your beautiful country this week. I'm in Munich for my own European Delivery of an EB M-Sport. I'll post an ED story later when I get home.

Amazing difference in climate. Fussen Germany was just completely covered in snow, but this idyllic Austrian valley was snow free.

The nicest road side restaurant/travel center I've ever seen.

Now that spring finally has arrived in Germany as well, I could switch to the summer setup and put on some more of the performance stuff including the full aero package painted in gloss black, and the power kit. Next, I will probably add some black mirror caps to complete the blue/black look.

Have a nice week

Yeah, that black stripe is not too flashy but still gives some sporty accent. Here's one more up-to-date pic.

The grill accents are a nice touch! The stripes look awesome on EB IMO. I had originally ordered them to be on my AW but decided they would make me stand out too much so I canceled them. Now I'm wishing I had ordered a blue one haha great looking ride, my friend!

i don't get why this model has fog lights, all the m-sport f30s i saw so far don't have fog lights, while this one does.

Did replace the mirror caps with glossy black ones and added the Performance side sills (also painted glossy black).

A next step might be to give the car a nice drop - I'm thinking of the KW DDC ECU coilovers, which would work with the adaptive suspension electronic - and either change wheels to 20" black ones or paint the current ones. What do you guys think?

Best wishes
Kyle

PS: By the way, on the BMW Welt 4.0 Treffen last weekend (meeting of BMW friends in munich), my car was voted by the attendees to be the second nicest 3. :-)

Looking good so far, not a big fan of the upper decals...but car still logs great. Keep up the good work.
