Yes. same engine found in the MY2016 340.

If you want the new engine, then consider getting the MY2016 340 instead with year end clearance incentives. Better bang for the $

For the 4 series? The mppk is out for the 340i. I`d assume it won`t be too far behind for the 440 once it`s released.

You can't get it for the 2016 340i u Ness you put it on afterwards correct? 2017 you can get it as an option. Is the price the same though.
440i you can spec it as an option.

There was another thread on here somewhere where a guy from Montreal was able to have the mppk included in his 2016 340 purchase at a discounted price.

If I return my lease early, payments jumps to $840/month.

Guess my best option is to wait another 2-3 months before trading it early. Hopefully there will be some 435xi coupe left with the color and options that I want.
I read of all the updates that will be on the 2017 430/440.

One thing I'm not sure is if the bumpers will change for the 2017? Some online pics shows a different looking front bumper on the 2017 4 series.

And here's a little update on my ongoing negotiations.
Last offer the rep gave me was $816 all in with the early return. Manager even came to speak to me in person and said its a deal of the year. Said this car usually leases in the $900 range. Said in 2-3 months there will be no more 2016 435's available and I'll have no choice but to get a 2017 and said don't expect your payments to be lower than $900 even if I didn't have a lease.

Is he Playing the chicken game?

I'm not ready to give up my car and rollover the 6 payments of my current lease to the new one. I might do it if it was only 2-3 payments.

So dealer is willing to absorb 2 months out of 6 months and yet they have the car to sell immediately to get back this $ . Also , the new car freight and pdi is due on delivery.

I don't like the offer just based on this fact

If you were to keep this current car right to the end, then you would be looking at new car in around dec time and I would say there will be some promo going on at that time, perhaps, special 3 months payments waived and interest rate would be at 3.9 or lower(before loyalty reduction) may appear at that time.

In other words, I would take a chance and wait till then ... Just my 2 cents

Is there a way to look at dealer inventory on specific models like in the states?

some dealers have their new car inventory listed in their websites. Not sure how up to date they are though.

OK So here's the final tally and now they said they have found the specific car I wanted.
2016 435xi Coupe in Alpine White / Coral Red with Premium Essential and M
Performance Package

Option1
$58205
48mth lease at 20K for $760/month but I need to cough up $6200 due on delivery. (only 3 payments of my current lease, Prep/Trans, 1st Pay and Security, Tire/Air Tax, PPSA)

Option2
$59996
48mth lease at 20K for $804/month and $4205 due on delivery. (Prep/Trans, Tire/Air Tax, 1st Pay, Security, PPSA)

Option3
$60300
48mth lease at 20K for $812/month and $3870 due on delivery. (3 lease payments of $600, Tire/Air Tax, 1st Pay, Security, PPSA)

From a quick glance, it looks like they are just playing with the monthly payments and what's due on delivery. I don't think that I'm off the hook for any of my 6 remaining payments of $600. Let me know if they are just f***ing with me and if so, then I can tell them to forget it and only hear from in Dec.

the key is how much discount off the car? Then add factory cash incentives. Don't buy a car with just monthly lease payments. The payments can be manipulated by down payments. Put $0 down.

MY2017 pricing has now been released

Just doing some quick math here with assumptions : 440xdrive
> This calcualtion is assumed that you have gone to the end of your current lease term and you are to sign a new deal in December 2016

Known MSRP - $57,050 + $3500 Prem. Essential
7% dealer discount (approx. $4,250)
$0,000 factory credit allowance
$700 (dealer admin fee + A/C tax + tire levy) all rolled into the monthly payment
loyalty 0.75% rate reduction > 3.9 - .75 = 3.15%
48 months
20,000km per
46% Residual
$0 down
Due on delivery - freight/pdi with taxes incl. + first month + security (if required)

$825 per month ... all included and OTR Total cash payment obligation would be approx. $42,300.

* Let's say ... in Dec 2016, there is a special short term promo of $1500 factory allowance credit given on lease, for example. If so, then the calculated monthly would be $790 per month ... all included and OTR. All other variables do not change. Total cash payment obligation would be approx. $40,700

This is just an illustration.

Well, to my best ability to calculate the above scenarios. I can only go with what's the entire deal's cash payment obligation.

1. $41,160
2. $41,185
3. $41,228

* The above includes the 3 unwaived payments of current lease of $2000 (taxes included)

For all scenarios, what is the discount given on the new car.
> It is calculated to be 5.9% or about $3,650 off from the dealer side. Then there is the $2,000 factory credit allowance.
> Dealer's then pile on those extra fees & charges (unknown) & freight / pdi which I calculated to be approx. $3,400 + taxes.

Here`s an interesting thread from another site. It links to a list of the lease payments for cars leased in Canada in the month of July. Bobblehead I assume you`re the same Bobblehead on RFD haha

Yikes. You found me.

That spreadsheet is basic and has no discount and factory credit. There are some errors in there too.

The new car found by the dealer includes the Premium Essential Package and ALSO the M Performance 1 package. Alpine white with Coral red.
The original car was a Black on Black with only the premium essential but now the quote given is for the better car at a better price as they claim.

I also found some anomalies on the due on delivery. It shows
Transport and Prep: $2095
Air Excise Tax: $100
Tire Tax: $15
PPSA: $49.89
Remaining 3 lease payments: $1800
GST/PST: $608

Why are the charging me taxes on my lease payments of $1800?
Shouldn't the taxes be only $338.42?

Can the security deposit be waived?

Monthly Payments of $760 for 48mth at 20K
Residual $28451
On the price disclosure it says Financed amount $58200

I have 6 payments of $600 left and they claim they are paying 3 months for me and I'm only responsible for 3. So I assume that's another $1800 off taken somewhere.

When is the 440 expected to be on dealers lot? Any way to tweak the delivery due for my situation? A bit steep if I wnat my payments to be at $760

I believe it's $0 down .. to be consistent for the spreadsheet. Honestly, I have not looked too deep into it as it really does not represent a true picture of what the actual lease payment comes out to.

Way too many required variables missing.

without seeing all the numbers on the quote sheet. Like I said, I can only calculate to my best ability with assumptions (working the numbers backwards to try to match what you have written).

In all, I just don't like the overall deal, even if they are saying they will waived 50% of your obligated lease payments. After all, I don't like to be penalized unfairly and not getting a good deal on the new car as well. As for the fees and charges, it would seem to me they pile on extras into the numbers.

As for the 440, you can order now and delivery should happen in late September. Which means you are still at the beginning of the MY2017 product cycle such that interest rate would be high, probably 4.9% but residual would be high as well, probably 50% for 48 months lease.

Just my opinion that you should perhaps wait til you are done with current lease and then shop in Nov to Dec 2016 time. If you say, well, I would still be paying more for the MY2017 after all compared to current offering. It's true but at least you are getting a new engine and a facelifted model with better features.

Surely also it is just total bs for them to say they are "waiving" any lease payments. If those lease payments weren't due, they would simply be able to add those dollars into the discount on the car. It is just a deceptive way of presenting the deal IMHO.
