2016 340i

Hey guys. So I am thinking of selling my 340i as I maybe moving out of the country. Its a 2016 340i bought under a diplomatic program so I received an excellent deal on it. Its an EBII with M sport package 6 speed. It currently has 23000 km on it. I have had it for about a year now. I will be listing it around 54000. I am just throwing this out there since I just read this thread post. If anyone is interested please hit me up. Thanks!

^ hate to say it. realistically, mid $40's is what you should be hoping for. Reason being, you are asking pretty well MSRP when it was brand new. Right now, if there are any leftovers of MY2016, one get can like 12-13% off the configured MSRP.

You're moving out of the country anyways. I'll buy it for $100 and pay for your airfare.

All 3 answers fair enough.

I remember when my dad moved to another country for about a year, he sold his car for half price of what was worth. That`s a moving sale. Not asking 99% of what you paid when you got it new.

I`ll double Crono06`s offer + UBER.

Keep that whiskey for those days when your x5 will be in the shop for too long.

How do you like that f15?

Feels almost like my old lovely 4GC and this is a good thing! Plus comfort seats are much much better than the sport seats.

That`s what i miss about my old f15. The seats first, than the headlights and the interior.

Your car brand new msrp is $60k with your diplomatic discount you probably paid less than $54k not to mention I can guarantee you that anyone can walk into a dealership and buy a new one for less than that. The only person that will buy your car will have to be retarded and they may even laugh at you.
I think bobble heard is correct that you won't get more than mid $40k.

Ok I'm not too good with prices of cars so I'm not sure how much the car is worth. I paid around 55. I'm willing to take 48k. If anyone is interested hit me up.

Your car depreciates about $1,000 - $1,100 a month during the 12 months. Therefore, you can do the math on what the realistic value is.

You can list $48. You may not get many calls at all. Just my 2 cents

You know dealer is just looking for one sucker to pay the 'sky high' asking price. That's always the game. If you are educated enough, then you should know what is a fair price and what is a sucker price.

But there is literally maybe 1 or 2 340s in the whole of Canada right now for under 50k so how do you negotiate?

for this car in the mid $50's, you may as well consider buying brand new then (leftover MY2016). Call up all the bmw dealers and see who has what left in their inventory

that price is full retail. they marked that car up by about $8k so you might be able to negotiate it down to about $50k and they still make money.
killakhan basically wants to sell the car privately above his paid price and at retail prices.
at $54k it will just sit on those lots until they drop the prices.
price out a new one with discounts and factory rebates and you will see like bobble head said you can almost get a new one.
