M Sport brake logo fade

Hi guys. Has anybody had issues with the M logo fading on their brakes? Tried rubbing compound but I think the logo is actually faded. Front is faded, rear is not. I think its just a sticker under the clearcoat, with that said, are there replacement stickers?

I had mine installed after i took delivery and they started to fade in the first 10k miles of owning them. MY SA knows i am very anal with components wearing out from use or weather under the 50k/4yr. This has been the case for over 20 years with the same dealer/SA and may play a factor. They installed new calipers and so far have had no issues, they seem to have known about the issues and said they usually see this happen when installed from the factory but not after.

It's probably heat related, as the front brakes do most of the work and therefore heat up more than the rear.

Same happening to mine but is there a way to remedy this without caliper replacement? I kinda feel bad for the service department doing all that work cause two M logos are fading on my car.

I feel the same, but also think it should be brought up to the service department

It's not a sticker, although there are high temp vinyl cast decals available. Instead, it's silk screen or stencil painted on. The paint is pretty thin and seems to simply wear off from dust, dirt and grit particles.

Should be easy enough to cut a stencil and repaint them. That or sticker over the top and high temp clear coat.

I can't believe you guys were able to get a stealership to replace those calipers for minor cosmetic reasons. I wish all the dealerships were so agreeable.

I have my end of warranty check booked for in a few weeks time.. it seems the silver for the 'M' has faded quite a bit on my fronts too, I wonder if I'll be able to persuade them about this too.

I'm at 42k - currently booked for roof rail paint corrosion, steering rack knocking (4th time lucky?) and one of my carbon mpe tips which has come loose (the nut underneath looks like it was stripped when installed too)

You should have no problems! Just picked up my car today! New front caliper! The correct term dealer used is the "M logo is delaminating" here is a before and after. Good luck !

My two fronts look like this:

Mentioned "caliper delamination" during my EOWC and they've agreed to replace the front two calipers, there is a large backorder date though for replacements. I'll definitely wait for it though, it'll make a great cosmetic difference.

Thanks for bringing this up guys, I'd have never challenged it before I heard about your success stories

My two fronts are starting to look like those of producerlawson and I'm at around 25,000. Will bring up the delamination when I bring it in for my next service.
