Big screen is busted

The big screen on my three week old 2013 328xi went out last week. It either displays the BMW logo or nothing at all. No radio functionality, nothing.

Most annoying is that my paired phone picks up the Bluetooth from incoming calls, and I can neither hear nor talk to whoever is calling.

It went out one time before in the first few days that I had the car, but a restart fixed it. This time it has been out for good. When I talked to BMW service specialists at the dealership, one stated he had the same thing happen once to him as well. All three were puzzled

not a good sign.

Not looking forward to the loaner I will get that has a gas gauge sitting on empty.

Let me know if anyone MUST have pics of a blank screen. I will advise of what the diagnosis is.

Tech stated that the "radio key" portion of the center console was replaced and that this included the hardware for the iDrive. So, the screen was not replaced or anything else.

I needed to re-activate Sat Radio, but cell phones were still logged into the Bluetooth. No problems for last five days.

This problem appeared to be completely different from the "No Signal" glitch others are having.

I was expecting a physically busted screen (eg cracked)
