MSport Owners - M footrest
This came up in another thread and am curious if M-sport owners got with the metal M sport foot rest with their car. BMWNA says it's included, but it seems many never got it.
If you did have this on the car when the car was delivered, post your interior color. I have an inkling that it may vary by color. Last edited by KeenDriver; 10-25-2012 at 11:46 PM.. |

Yes- EB2 with black leather interior. One of my few complaints-if you're going to provide the metallic M footrest then go ahead and do the pedals also. I know...it's BMWs way of making you want to spend the extra $ to finish off the look. But for that much money and the M package the pedals should have been included.

Got mine. EBII with Coral Red. It matches the M door sills nicely. Not sure why people are not getting it. Maybe the dealers are taking them out?

BMWNA car build tool. Select 360 view and cycle through interiors. Beige does NOT get aluminum foot rest pedal. Black and Coral Red do since they have black carpet.

Beige interior in an M-sport does not get M footrest in US. This has been discussed before.

you have to buy the pedal set anyways to get the rest and it includes the dead pedal. I'd be happy to send someone mine whenever I get around to ordering it. Probably when the carbon spoiler is out (next week supposedly).

my CA confirmed this with BMWNA. No M footrest for beige interior. they do not have the part in beige that goes behind the footrest. BUT we are paying the same $ for the package.

Are you talking about the black lines in the aluminum or another plate behind that? Do you have a pic of what you are talking about? I was thinking about purchasing these myself, but if that is true and it looks really off it may not be worth it.

Here is a picture of the complete setup. The footrest to the left is what everyone is talking about.
Also if you buy the set. The footrest is sold separately and not together. Sadly gotta pay the price to complete the setup. |

Sorry no pic.but i can tell you this. If you are getting the beige interior, there's no way to install the M footrest on the existing beige plastic backing. My CA tried to install the part at the dealer for free (since its part of the package) but then their part dept told him that i will have to pay and install the entire black interior (bottom). I can use my money better than that. I am going to ask him to give me the m footrest part itself since i paid for it. i will drill that somewhere in my room carpet.
