F30 M Sport

My 335i M Sport is currently in production. I'm confused whether the car will have the completely black front kidney grill or the one with chrome border & black slats.

I though M Sport comes with the chrome border & black slats, whereas the completely black grill is M Performance. But I've seen many examples of M Sport with completely black grills at the dealership and on these forums

The completely black grills are M-Performance. They are a separate purchase. If you've seen them at the dealership it's because they were upgraded when the car arrived (..my car, for example).

You are correct. Chrome border and black slats. I purchased the m performance grilles (all black) as many on this forum have.

that's what I thought, but even the car I test drove at the dealership had the M Performance (all black) grill which made me question my information. I definitely want to upgrade but I'll wait to get my car first.. Maybe I can try to get my CA to swap one for free

What color is your car? I rather like the chrome accent on my Sapphire Black. Other colors would look better with the black out grill.

Agreed, the chrome border around the grill against bsm paint provides a nice contrast. though for other colors like white, the all black grill would look much better than the one with the chrome border.

Alpine White... don't like the chrome on white, but looks much better on black

I have an M sport on order. Theyorder a pair through the parts department and are installing the Black Kidney Grills for me before I pick up the car. Under 150 installed - That way I don't have to worry about doing it myself. They can even put it into your financing. It increases your payment like $1 ..LOL
Ask your dealer. You're spending over 50k there.. they should be more than accommodating.

I love the sport line grill, I'm really surprised they left the chrome grill on the m sport...I plan on switching it out as soon as my car arrives.
