LA Area F30 General / Coding Meet: Sunday, September 22nd, 2013 at the LA Zoo
It looks like we have enough interest to do another LA area F30 meet; coding or just to meet other F30 owners.
I've scheduled it for Sunday, September 22nd, 2013 starting at 10:00am (until whenever were done) at the North-East corner of the LA Zoo parking lot. There's should be plenty of free parking; we just have to dodge all of the bicycle people! Here is the location: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.150674,-118.282716 Please post a message here if you want to code your car so I'll know how many cars will need to be done. Each car takes between 30 and 45 minutes depending on how many features are coded. Enclosed is a checklist of the things that can be coded on your F30: |

I'll stay there until everyone is done; but if you don't leave SD until around 2pm, it's probably going to be way too late for the meet. You can always make individual arrangements with me if you want to. I can't make it down for the SD meet this weekend, sorry. You might contact the OC coders Steve33 or 10nelyboi and see if they plan on going down there for the meet or are available to code. '14's are no problem to code, same as '12's and '13's. |

Are you aware of anyone gaining TCU access to flash F30 to B3?

I would love to be part of this too. Just took re-delivery of my 2013 f30 ED. I am in the opposite boat as DesertSmokeBBQ, as I have to make my way DOWN to SD Sunday afternoon (and back) from Long Beach. If there are also people coding in OC I would love to stop by, but if not then I will gladly drive up in the AM to LA.
I'm SO excited to get my car coded! One question, should I bring a blank memory stick to copy my cars original file on in case I need to revert? Thanks to everyone helping out! |

The old reason to keep backups of the original coding file was to have a copy that you could revert back to factory settings in case of problems. That's not necessary any more as there is a function in E-Sys to reset an ECU (or all ECU's) to factory settings without any saved files. It's called VO coding and is done when adding/removing option codes from the car. |
