Forwarded the guides to my client advisor. Apparently the dealership does not have them yet...
One insteresting note: they seem to have dropped the modern line from the set-up. It is quite a shame as I liked the oyster grey set-up which is shown on the pictures in the other thread. Also, active blindspot detection (pretty useful considering the issues with the side view mirrors) comes only as part of a package with a bunch of features (lane departure, collision warning, pedestrian warning, speed limit info, etc.) which are useless to me. Now the question is: what is the earliest ED date BMW will offer? FM

SOP 7/13 should mean availability for September pick up (possibly even sooner, unless there's a hold until official introduction).
Oyster leather is coming back SOP 3/14, it's right there in the guides. |

Speed Limit info is awesome, and actually the most useful of all those features. I would give up blind spot detection long before Speed Limit Info.

I don't get the logic of just offering xdrives for the GT. Unless you live in snow country, there's no need for the extra weight, complexity, or expense. Are you sure no rwd GTs will be offered in the US?

If there's no RWD GT, then I'm not interested.

The pictures of the silver GT with M-Sport package is really nice. It is too bad they are only offering xdrives. I do like this and the F31 wagon. Both will be xDrives, wish it wasn't the case. I think this car is great value and the extra space is good as a family car alternative to a SUV.

Still hoping to see the full GT line offered in the US (not just xdrives). All the promotional media from BMW show rwd in Modern, Luxury, Sport and M-Sport versions. I've been driving clumsy 4 wheel drive SUVs for 16 years (and really enjoyed them) but I'm ready for a more comfortable and nimble alternative that still offers some utility. The rwd GT is that car. Limiting the GT to xdrive seems to defeat the purpose and puts the GT into direct completion with the X3 and the forthcoming X4. Since the great majority of GTs coming off the assembly line are rwd (for the rest of the world), why limit the market in the US? I'd also like to see a diesel version in the US.

Its disappointing that bmwusa chose to offer both wagon and the GT only with xdrive. The X1 and X5 get a rwd option but these F30 based cars do not? Doesn't make sense to me.

So the 3GT is launching on June 6th in Malaysia. Can the US be far behind?

Guess it was too much to hope for a 6MT in North America. When will manufacturers realize there are people out there who want the utility of a hatch/wagon (the added back seat space is nice too), AND the ability to row your own gears?
