Best/most economical whole body coating to prevent keying?

Since I park my car on the streets of New York, I'm constantly paranoid about people keying my car (my old Ford was keyed twice in 10 years). Is there a good whole body clear coat out there that'll be tough enough to protect against most key scratches, and is easy to touch up? Preferably one that doesn't cost like 2000

Ain't nothing going to prevent a keying... that's metal taken directly to paint. With enough force, any key is going to scratch painted metal. You can scratch Gorilla Glass if you put enough force into it.

Well most of the idiots around here are teens who think it's "badass" to key a car, and really just take whatever key they have and run it down the car then run away. I know nothing's gonna stop someone who's really out to scratch up my ride, but maybe something like clearbra or some coating will at least protect from the amateurs.

maybe put a camera in your car that records while parked. if it happens near your home..chances are they live near you.

I dont think a clear bra would help, they will probably cut through it.

hire a ninja to keep watch

The best whole car covering device that will successfully prevent folks from keying your car is called a garage. Several national retailers sell them.

Har har har. And one of those here costs just about as much as my financing for this car per month.
