Buying from David Aviles with deliver to Texas

Has anyone purchased their car from David Aviles and had it delivered to Texas. Specifically, Austin but Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio would work. I'm working a deal with him and spoke to him on the phone as well and has so far given me the best price. But I'm curious as to how your experience was in getting delivered to Texas. Did you run into any snags? How was working with your local dealership in delivering a car that was not purchased through them?

BMW of Austin has a great staff but isn't giving me the numbers that I want. BMW of Houston and Momentum BMW in Houston didn't seem to want my business. Or at least they didn't seem to want to deal with me by phone.

Please, share your thoughts.

Have you considered a Performance Center Delivery? I bought my 428i from David and picked it up in Spartanburg a couple of weeks ago. What a terrific experience! Plus, David and Katie were great to work with.

I'm curious to know this as well, as I'm only able to negotiate so far with the local dealership before they complain about losing money and doing skinny deals.

Did my ED and PCD of my 435i from David Aviles this year. Think it was around an extra $1,000 to have it shipped to Texas instead of his dealership in Cali. Just ask David how much extra it would be, he knows his stuff and can give you the answer you're looking for.

Like others have mentioned do the PCD in South Carolina. The drive back from South Carolina to Texas wasn't so bad but I had my gf share the driving with me. The PCD experience was awesome, even my gf had a great time even though I "dragged" her to it.

You would think there would be ED/PCD specialist in Texas considering it's the 2nd largest state in terms of population......I didn't even waste my time with any Texas dealers. GL.

Houston dealers haven't really been eager to sell it seems. I went to BMW North Houston and the guy there said he would take $4k off MSRP which included all the available incentives. Then I went to Momentum BMW to check out a 435GC and when I asked about available discount, he went to the manager and brought back a written number like it was the deal of the century. His words, "we don't usually do this, but my manager is willing to offer that car for $2000 off MSRP". When I asked about holiday credit, he said, that's the holiday credit AND the bonus $1000 holiday credit on the vehicle.

I walked!

Compare that to momentum audi and the offer I got from them was 10% off ANY Audi on the lot + any available/applicable incentives.

Merc was offering approx. 15% discount on in-stock C400s.

Do BMW dealers in Houston sell their cars really well? Or do they just not offer many discounts?

Damn... I must have been a high roller since they offered me 2500 off MSRP. I politely ended the call.

Houston must be a different market than Austin. So much for getting dealers to compete with each other.

Honestly the 'online' request for more information - I couldn't even get responses out of some of the dealers. I understand it's a busy time for them, but surely they would want an easy sell.

Throughout this process - Jon Schafer has been more helpful with his e-mail responses than the local dealers.

I ordered from David when he was in Maryland and I lived in LA. Got a great price and paid +500 for shipping right to my house. Plastic still on the doors and seats. So awesome.

I think delivery is more now, which sucks cuz it does offset the price quite a bit

I purchased my car from David, he quoted me $700.00 to have it shipped to El Paso Tx. I ended up picking it myself to clear any doubts I had about the car with them. Their staff is amazing to work with, super easy and their price is way better than Houston, SA and Dallas by a lot! Plus driving your brand new bmw on highway is amazing!

That's strange, I did the same thing as you talking to David and BMW of Austin. For me Austin offered a better deal than David. I fly back and pick up my car in February. I did try San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas but they didn't want to come down as much as BMW of Austin.

Let me know if you need more info.

I was able to get a deal together with BMW of Austin. It was very close to what David was offering. David's discount was pretty good especially when you compared it to what the dealerships in Houston were offering.

I still can't believe the none of the BMW dealerships in Houston wanted to deal.

t

just curious how much $$$ diff we're talking about? I got approx 10%off msrp (including incentives) from a houston bmw dealership. I thought the entire process was hassle free and everything done through email. Although i have to admit, the other hou dealerships that I contacted before I decided with this dealer doesnt seem to want my business.

Thank You
David Aviles, Steve Thomas BMW, Camarillo, CA. Contact him @ bmwdavid@icloud.com. I bought my 428i from him, took ED and PCD this fall. David and Katie, his assistant, were great to work with, the price was great, and the whole experience was painless. I'll never buy a car any other way.

Would you still have saved over the other dealerships had you paid for shipping?

I've dealt with bmw of austin... They were willing to make a deal but I opted to buy used in the end due to planning a move. Contact Chris Reilly... Good guy and easy to work with. Tell them the deal and see if they will match it

Purchased two cars from him: F30 335i and F80 M3

335 was delivered to my house from Cali at STBMW expense
M3 was ED, and trying to do PCD before it arrives at port; otherwise courtesy delivery to a local dealership

Awesome guy to work with that cares.
