Accents help (highlight trim finisher)

I am looking at ordering a 335 xi from the sport line. I want the high gloss black trim, but DO NOT want the highlight trim finishers in Coral Red matte. The dealer is telling me they think they would have to order the entire brushed aluminum trim to get the highlight trim finishers in black high-gloss and then swap the highlight trim finishers. Does anyone know if there is an easier way to do this? I have been looking and can't find a part number for just the highlight trim finishers.

Garage List
I believe that's correct. If you want the high gloss black you will have to order it with brushed aluminum trim.

So the accent/finisher piece does not come off of the trim?

At least in Canada you are looking for the code 4DL - trim highlight in high gloss black

The anthracite wood is much better and comes with a brushed aluminum accent.

Saw it for less than $700 shipped on eBay. Some body wants $1350 for their burled walnut kit lol.

The trim and highlight are one piece I believe. So if you order the aluminum to try and get the black finisher, you'll end up with a piece of aluminum coloured trim with the black finisher stuck to it. So you're screwed both ways.

My suggeestion is order the car with the red highlight and get it vinyl wrapped in gloss black.

You can separate the finisher, it is tedious but it can and has been done.

why oh why are you trying to get rid of the red trim line? Everyone who has sat in my car loves it and it looks really good. I got it with the brushed aluminum though since I personally felt the gloss black was a fingerprint magnet

I think the hex aluminum with matte blue trim stripe looks the best, but I'm biased

Wow. So many crazy ideas here when this can be fixed for a couple bucks. Just order the Gloss Black with Red Trim. Then go to the local banner/sticker shop and ask them for some scrap gloss black sticker. And just stick it over the red.

Or if you want it permanent, take the trim piece off, and mask the Gloss Black part, and paint the red Gloss Black. A body shop would charge you like $20. Or you could spray it yourself too.

No a huge fan of the color red

Sounds like I might be able to get the dealer to replace the 2 dashboard trim pieces with the aluminum trim with black accent piece. I think it will look ok since the rest of the car will have black trim.

Aluminum over black finisher is pretty great looking. I went through the trouble of swapping out my burled walnut to that setup.

It's not. Having taken the trim off, you see from the back how the two sections are held in place.

It is sold as one piece which is annoying in cases like this.
