Ordered a 320!
Went with a 2014 order to save $1,490 vs a 2015 order (got 4% off Invoice). I plan to keep it at least 6-7 years so no issues with going with a 2014. Went with Glacier Silver, sport pkg, 6 spd manual, moonroof, and heated front seats.
Was told the car would be shipped out from South Africa sometime in September. To keep myself occupied I already ordered a set of M style aluminum pedals and a clutch stop. When the car gets closer I plan on getting the BMS stage 1 tuner and USB cable (for +4 boost) and a painted M style trunk spoiler off Ebay. Can somebody shine some light as to how the South Africa order went for you? Did it arrive on time? Where you able to track it just as eaisly as a German build?

My car is coming from South Africa. Everything is pretty close to being on schedule, give or take a day or two. I've been able to track mine just like anyone else because all ships from South Africa go to Bremerhaven first before coming here. Mine is scheduled to be delivered first week of August. It's a painful wait, for sure! Congrats on the new car!

Nope, my 335xi was also built in SA. The wait times are longer since only a couple vessels leave SA a month, plus it has to travel up to Germany first before heading to the US. The trip alone from SA to Germany took about 3 weeks.

Where did order your M performance pedals and clutch stop from? Is there a specific clutch stop make/model I should look for?
Congrats on your new purchase ! |

They stopped 3 series production in Germany about 3 weeks ago. South Africa starts and ends production about one month later so they can still take orders for another 5 or 6 days.
Why can't the cars go straight from South Africa to the States? PG5- I purchased the pedals on Ebay. They have the M logo and were only $27 for the three pedals (no foot rest). Requires drilling into the stock pedals, but doesn't look too hard. I got the clutch stop also on Ebay. From what I read on the forums you can either buy the version on Ebay or buy the BMS made version. Both are only about $10.00 and are suppose to install in less than a minute. I already received it in the mail and from the parts used and craftsmanship I can see how they sell it for only $10, but hey if it works who cares.
