Aftermarket audio
Hey folks!
So far I've only ever played about with changing head units when the cars used old fashioned DIN sized units. As such I have no idea what's involve when upgrading the audio system in an integrated system like in the F30. Since I will be owning the car for 3 years it might be worth upgrading the audio. Stock is pretty good on the whole but with some tracks I listen to I feel the speakers are getting swamped trying to produce the bass and the rest of the music suffers. So... How do I fix this. In my head: installing a subwoofer should take the bass away from the smaller speakers and let them deal with the rest of the frequencies and this may be enough to solve the problem! But then nothing is ever this simple and I am guessing a full audio revamp is probably necessary. Any advice from the techies out there would be great before I seriously start window shopping ^_^ |

I must say that i find myself in the same situation. I am too stuck with eu spec standard audio system of 6ch, which i must admit is quite crap. Especially those two "subs" under front seats can't be felt at all. I only discovered the car had them by reading on forums ant trying to place my hand over it while cranking the wolume to check if it vibrated.
However, i suppose to have a rich sound, the whole system must undergo major upgrade. But i coudn't find any audio system upgrade offers for f30 yet fingers crossed the upgrades come soon ^^ Unless anyone has some suggestions or advices where to start |
