I can't believe I'm actually replying to this thread as I'm seriously considering a loaded E90 335 xdrive m-sport, favorite exterior and interior colors, loaded. I've been anticipating the F30 for a couple years now. That said, I think I could probably get 10K off the E90 which brings it to about the price I was going to pay for my semi loaded 328i F30. What should I do?? LOL I really like the E90, always have. Hmmm....I'm stumped...and that doesn't happen very often with me in regards to cars. Anyone else having this debate?

Not really. If you buy an E90 now, with a $10k savings over an F30, how long will it retain that added advantage over an F30? I've never been a fan of buying a car at the end of it's life cycle.
Of course the way the F10 dynamics fell on their face, I suppose if I'd wanted a 5er, I'd really have been better off with Dame Edna the E60. So far though, early tests don't point to the F30 losing it's way the F10 did. |

I will say this, when i ordered my F30, there were a few e90 at the dealer, they had some sport 335 and a 335d, i told them if they were willing to take 20k off the 335d, i would take it lol...The only thing that would make me reconsider the F30, is if they were to give me a 335 e90(like 20K off) but i doubt it. Really looking forward to the f30

I'm going to wait for a F30 that I can drive.
My wife likes the exterior of the E90 better than the F30...I think I do too...I'm still in the air on that one. Interior wise the F30 blows the E90 out of the water, however I don't hate the E90 interior. The sore spot for me is I really want a "d". So I'm strongly pondering picking up a E90 335d, as BMW has apparently left my opinion card out of the box on the oil burner aspect. (I figure I could always upgrade to an F30 "d" if BMW does in fact bring one out). However another tough one is the fact that the current "d" gets about the same mpg as the new gassers...not the significant difference it was a year ago. So this makes buying a "d" less intelligent, as it is more $/gal. So, I'm in the air, and will likely wait until my DLR has a demo car I can drive. I generally don't like "first year cars", but currently 2/3 of my cars are "first year cars". Personally I'd be less concerned w/ buying a last of the run than w/ buying the first of a run. I guess time will tell...I'm finding that many of the dlr's that still have E90's are still too proud of them and I don't pay retail for a car...so this may take some time. I was trying to decide between a 335d and a Ford Raptor -odd combo I know, but both of them would do what I want, just in very different ways. Now it appears I don't need a truck anymore, so I may open my sports sedan options up a little, and take a trip to East Texas so I can drive a few other options. Sorry BMW, but you really should have brought out a new, even more fuel economical Diesel....keep trying, eventually Americans will see the light. |

Well, have fun guys...I got me a 2011 335 xdrive M-Sport, performance edition! I decided to give the F30 a few years to mature and the deal on the 335 was very good so I went for it. Love the car. Coming from the 135i it's like the difference between a hyper active 10 year old and a more mature but knows how to party 25 year old. LOL Either way, I imagine I will see you all in 33 months when my lease expires. Good luck and have fun!
