HRE!

Dude I'm totally in love with the flat bottom steering wheels. My old S4 had the typical round one and it cost like 1,400 for the flat bottom!! Jeez!!

The wheels in the last picture out in the wild look best.

The flat bottom steering wheels are a gimmick. If the steering is more than 180 degrees lock to lock they are an inconvenience. That was one of my biggest gripes on the Audi.

True, but he said he was tired of car trouble, so he went for a performance Audi. You can't make this up.
Sometimes people need a change. BMW doesn't have such a great track record either...
I am not brand loyal to BMW, but at least we don't need "engine out" maintenance for timing belts.
B58 motor does...

And in comes the newly redesigned BMW B48 and B58 engines unless you didn?t know to flatline your current theory going forward. This was to correct a poor Crank hub design but that?s for a different story.

BMW will always drive better than Audi but it doesn?t go to say Audi doesn?t have capability of having exciting products. This is solely bmw at fault for becoming soft and catering to mass and soccer moms and stay home daddy...

Lol so many hurt fanboys here. OPs car will smoke any of your f30s in a straight, on a track, dry, wet doesn't matter. I moved on to an S4 myself after 4 generations of the 3 series. I highly suggest you put your biases aside and take an S/RS Audi for an extended drive before spouting BS.

I agree. I have had 5 BMW's in a row between my wife and I and my next car will be an RS3. I want to try one out never owned an Audi. BMW has really started to drift away from what it use to be not saying that Audi is any better driving feel wise or BMW is not good, but just time for a change. And I want the awd straight line speed for once.

Its funny how many times you get comments good luck understeering, and the majority of BMW's today are x drive variant and have a heavy front end feel. NO awd car feels like rwd. M3 is great in so many ways but when the F80 came out it got beat out by c63 and the ATS-V driver feel wise. I would still pick the M3 or M4 but cars have changed and the "understeering" comments are rubbish. BMW is not the best handling car in the world by a long margin. Is it better than Audi hell yes. And the Next gen M3/4 better step it up in a big way because the competition has ever so closed in.

Kind of unfair to compare an RS to any non-M. I agree though that Audi has come a long way! I'd love to drive a RS.. I wasn't completely impressed with my B7 S4 but I know they had made great strides with their following models. The grip on corners was insane the first time I went from RWD to AWD.. There was so much grip mid corner that it almost seemed unreal. I do miss that V8 though but not so much the MPG.. 11mpg

This. Comparing an RS3 to a non-M is ridiculous. They're not even in the same class.

It's not that ridiculous when they are in the same general price range. Yes it's meant to compete with the M2, but it's a 4 door sport sedan that can be had cheaper than a well equipped F30.

I'm guessing the 328/330 should be equivalent to the A4. 335/340 to S4? M to RS?

But a RS might give him some surprises.

Look I know Audis have issues too, I'm not blind. That's also why I got a maintenance plan (dealer Included through 50k), and got a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty (that Audi will void if I even try a simple APR flash since diesel gate has made them highly flash count sensitive).

I cross shopped M2 (new) and a used M3.

I really felt after 5 years of the F30 (tracking and daily driving), that BMW's tech was a little behind and the QC issues my new F30 (2012 model), left me a little sick of driving back to the dealer as much as I did. The virtual cockpit is sick, and the seats and alcantara are lush.

With that said at least I test drove 2015 M3s. I needed 4 doors and something sick fast. This RS3 will cook most M3s and even CP M3s...The AWD just hooks up. In a straight line. In the turns I'm not inspired but I figure oh well how often am I driving around Lime Rock or NJMP lightning. All said I got it for $59,246, much cheaper than a new M3.

It's 4 inches more cramped inside, my son's car seat fits but in reverse he's literally right on me. Once he's forward facing it'll be all good. It was horrible in the M2, so that was ruled out. And of course fine in the M3, since the dimensions are same as my old 335i F30.

I'm not a fanboy, I love the BMW brand and will miss the handling for sure, but am intrigued about the RS3 and enjoy the new features (LED lighting, virtual cockpits, MMI, apple car play, beautiful interior seating), but am annoyed about the slight loss in interior space and the manual seating (lol).
You have started a war here...lol
That looks like Audi Cherry Hill NJ.
I rode as a passenger with my friend test driving RS3....i liked the car...amazing exhaust sound...I noticed it has reverse staggered setup. 255 front / 235 rear, it's because (maybe) Front wheel biased AWD...AUDI CA had no idea...lol.
I would like to see rear tires 255 as well.

It even had carbon ceramic brake option..v cool.
Congrats again....?

Adding horsepower to a car is like the cheapest thing to do. Making it RWD and not a FWD economy box is not easy or cheap.

S3/RS3 is AWD?

My FWD GTI handles better than my RWD 704 suspension 335i??
