I watched it last night, its ok. I thought they'd take the opportunity to do something a little different. It was enjoyable, the new track looks great, don't like the new stig. I'll still watch it but it's not worthy of all thr hype I dont think.

Hopefully the other episodes will be as good.
Not sure about the use of language, it's very much school boy potty mouth stuff. 'Oh we can swear' The airfield is the one at what was RAF Wroughton, been there a couple of times it was used as a mental health unit. |

The language is an issue for me too as the kids love the programme. Not sure why they now feel the need to swear on the programme but as Brigand says it seems to be just because they now can.

Thought episode 2 not as good as one. The fake death of guests is soon going to get boring. The military stuff very little to do with cars and stretched thin material

They will need to seriously look at doing some proper original material. |

It's rebranded TG, think you lot are expecting more than your gonna get.
If you've ever moaned about clarkson top gear in the past then it's probably not the prog for you! |

Now that the original mob are back and that "closure" has been had, it is like the novelty has worn off. I would have expected it to take a bit longer than S1 E2 for it to wear off, but hey we are a fickle bunch! I think due to all the press and hype surrounding The Grand Tour that the fans expected more than a rebranded Top Gear. |

Thought EP2 was just as good as EP1, genuinely laughed out loud at a few sections. It's cracking entertainment that doesn't pander to the PC brigade and contains nice cars - there's really nothing more to analyse. But now the series are twice as long! Will definitely keep watching.

Haven't watched it and no intention of watching it. I'm probably the only person on here who just doesn't like Clarkson. Stopped watching TG years ago for the same reason.

Ok I'll agree it was a weaker episode than the first one but it had enough funny bits in it to pull it together.
Forgive me but isn't the whole reason why we watch this show, for the REAL Holy Trinity... jezza, hamster and slow! Their chemistry and banter. Doesn't have to be about the cars, all the time. |

Sorry but it's dire. If it were 3 unknown presenters, it wouldn't even get commissioned.
The gags are so contrived and scripted - not to mention rarely funny. I've watched the first two episodes with an open mind, but I doubt I'll bother with the rest of the series to be honest. I get more car based viewing pleasure from Car SOS and Jay Leno's Garage! |

Well we as a family enjoyed both episodes 1 and 2. Take it as a bit of light hearted family entertainment and its a good enough watch. Need to ditch the unnecessary swearing though.
