Rear view camera upgrade

Can the camera be upgraded to a better one? With a wider angle lens and better image quality?

Car in for service and notice the loaner 2016 X1 had a better resolution camera than F30. I had the same question wonder if you can upgrade the camera.

Yes. There's no limit to the angle of the lens but your dynamic parking lines will become less effective, higher resolution camera sensors are also accepted but the effect is negligible past a certain point as you're limited by the resolution of the display.
