Smile The Drama Thread

I am bored.

Resting on my sofa I just thought that such a thread could be a fun read and spice up the forum.

Post here for any dramas you have had with or without your F30.

My mini drama:
On Monday just past, 6 massive dollops of bird pooh, 2 on bonnet, 2 on roof and 2 on boot lid. When I say massive, I mean fist size. A perfect row of bird pooh. Those birds were most geometric and as loose as a goose. The smell was terrific and for the first time in my miserable life I had to urgently hose the car. No damage to paintwork, thankfully. Supposed to be good luck!

A little drama on my E92.... Some asshole twat decided to scrape all of the tint I had on my headlights off, then kick them. Of course this f**ked them up good. They also decided to steal the roundels front and rear. The insurance company didn't understand why I was so relieved when I inspected the car and they HADN'T keyed it.

But how could a horse crap on the roof geometrically or on the bonnet or
boot lid?

Horse dung, not good luck.

Confucius say when horse shit on car, time to eat horse.
Confusius also say when man eat horse, man has to first French kiss horse.

I got my first DING on my 4-series, parked in a station car parked, caused by a Jag owner opening his door. It was a door open ding - then he drove off (I was not around, but remember thinking I would be OK parked next to a jag)

Car age = 2 weeks, miles on clock = 240

B*******d!

It's not the horse dung than you have to watch out for.

It's the hoof prints on your bonnet and skid mark down your windscreen

My E92 was 3 days old when some b*****s using a screwdriver or key decided to take the roof cover, indenting and scratching the roof. BMW did a great job - 20 euro for a cover, total 180 euro . (it was in Ireland ).

A lucky escape on another level! $500 for all of the work. New headlights, new roundels, and they threw in some paint work that I needed.

Drama 1: After being fortunate enough to afford my first ever new car I had the unfortunate pleasure of having my 2 week old F30 driven into. Clearly a lady in a large vehicle picking the kids up from school (damage high up on car) who failed to even bother thinking about leaving a note...leaving me with a 1600 repair bill (pictures attached).

Drama 2: Having parked my car miles from any trees, what can only be described as a teradactyl (with a clear taste for vindaloo curry) sized turd was left waiting for me on the roof of my car when finishing work. Having spent no more than 8 hours on the roof it has now left an unsightly mark on the clear coat.......an indisputable argument for why Jurassic park should not be made a reality!!

About 2 months ago and because I have halogen light I decided to switch the DRL for some "hid look" LEDs...
This led bulbs require to use the stock base that came with the halogen bulb.. Apparently I didn't stick one of the led bulbs in the stock base and after the first drive I took... well it came off the base and fell inside my headlight housing!! I remember driving and seeing the "DRL" light come up on the dash and without getting outta the car I immediately knew what it was, I was almost afraid to stop and look lol... Well after about $40 dollars at the autoparts ( buying just about every magnetic tool they sell) and a lot less skin in my lower arm it all worked out fine lol here's a pic

Not so much a drama but looking a bit of a prat, trying to manoeuvre between the white lines at work with the door open not realising the revs aren't moving the car as it automatically went into park! Oops!

similar but worse.... car probably had no more than 300 miles when I was driving through a car park at work through some big speed bumps and changing the radio station at the same time. On one of the speed bumps I pressed the button looking at the radio and slowly accelerating but I noticed that car was slowing down rather than going ahead so I throttled down harder and harder until I heard a huge noise of the engine up to 6000 revs. Ups!! apparently when going through the speed bumps my arm accidentally hit the gear stick and changed to N which I did not noticed .

Our guinee pig died on Monday. He was 8 yrs old. On a lighter note, after just 3 days, my front number plate has started to peel off. Took it back and the dealer decided to screw it on. Why they didn't do that in the first place god only knows.

On the day i picked my touring up i went for a couple of 15 or so mile drives and 10 miles into the second one i noticed in my rear view mirror that those idiots at the factory had omitted the heating element in the rear screen ! I immediately pulled over to take a closer look and realised that the 'airbrake' had been up for those 10 miles........

Can I do one from my old car? Still a BMW

It's rush hour.

I pulled up to a three-lane roundabout in the middle lane, turning off stop/start as the traffic was busy and I needed a quick getaway.

Spotting my gap I put my foot down and... nothing!

I glance at the shifter, it's in Park. Crap! How did that happen??

I pull it back, wait, go for another gap... nothing again.

I look at the tacho and realise the engine has died. Crap CRAP!! So I start hurriedly prodding the start button. Nothing happens. So now I'm thinking "feck me, fecking broke down in the WORST possible place" and stick the hazards on. The traffic in the lane behind me starts trying to go round, which is not easy as it's very narrow lanes and there's queues in all three lanes.

So I sit there for about 15-20 seconds thinking what to do next.

I'm just about to get out of the car and gesture something about breaking down to the impatient queue, but then change my mind thinking "just one more try".

I press the start button and... IT LIVES!!!

I swiftly get on my way, waving an apology to the cars behind.

Driving away I slowly come to the realisation that I must have turned the engine off instead of the stop/start.... OOOOPS
