E90 Wheels on an F30

Hi

I have a nice set of 270M E90 M3 winter wheels and wonder if you can fit them to a F30/F31. They are 18x8 ET20, so small M3 offsets.

I realise the F30 bolts are M14, not M12, but have read that the bolts still fit through the wheels. If the seating of the bolt is still OK, these should be OK to use?

J

Yes they fit, but the tyres are lower profile so the car will sit lower and the speedo will be out.

Thanks, yes I see - my E90 are 225/40R18, and similar F30 are 225/45R18.

That doesn't sound like much but its 3.7% and 23mm (car sits 11.5 mm lower) - shows 70mph at 67.6mph.

Shouldn't be a problem really though, plus when it needs new winter tyres, just get next size up.

They will stick out further too, only about 14mm more than the non m sport F30 wheels though so should be fine.

Thinking about doing the same thing, BMW 270M 235/40/18R as winters on a F36 440i with track package (big blue m brakes). Currently has on 19" 442M wheels. Did the 270M wheels end up working out for you? Spacers needed?
