I tried a few things, but it's not worth the effort as the noise isn't coming through the doors! Dynamite does help the sound system a bit though.

The material you listed will do very little alone to reduce cabin/road noise. If that is your primary goal, you need mass. Specifically, look for MLV (mass loaded vinyl). Typically, you will want to place CCF (what you listed) between the MLV and vehicle, but it can be done without. Second Skin makes a product called Luxury Liner Pro that has both combined.

and to absorb the sound i have purchased Noico 315 mil (8 mm) closed-cell polyethylene foam I want to apply in the doors and under the hood hoping to absorb some of the noise from the diesel engine that can be heard in the cabin and outside I am just curious to try

Do you have runflats? If yes then all else is tinkering around the edges. Took me a while to realize that. But a combination of non runflats and nocio to doors and roof would be sick. I would like to know please write a detailed review. |
