4Series Grand Coupe 18" Wider Tires?

Anyone running slightly wider tires on their 4 Series Grand Coupe? I have the OEM Bridgestone RFTs, Mixed Setup.

Not to thread jack, and I'm not positive but if I'm understanding wheel metrics correctly, if you have 225/45R18 then a 255/40R18 should also fit the same wheel while being slightly wider?

255 are the widest that can go on 8.5" rears, no change necessary.

the 225 fronts may be increased to 245/40/18 on the 8" fronts and will reduce a lot of the understeer associated with the 225 front width.

I have mixed/staggared setup with 225/45R18 in Front (8.00 Wheel). And 255/40R18 in rear (8.50) Wheel.

Ok, so can't change the width in the rear without changing wheels, but can go to 245 in the front? Will the 245's in front stick out of fender at all?
