I'm gonna get chewed out for this, but Turtle Wax Bug and Tar works well. Just spray it on and let it soak a few before washing the front fascia.

GTechniq W8 Bug Remover.
CW 1:100 Bug remover.
Auto Finesse Citrus Power, Bug Remover.

All these 3 are good, and all of them at least easily available here in Norway.
I think that the CW 1:100 is the best, but a bit harder on the coatings/wax than the other ones.

Gtechniq W8 is good and PH neutral so this is very kind on any wax or coating.

Bleche White whitewall cleaner.

It sounds strange I know. I learned this from one of my training officers when I was a State Trooper. And yes we get tons of bugs working in the rural areas.

Just spray it on and watch the bugs melt. I've used it for over 25 years on all my vehicles with no issues.

It takes some time. but I wet a towel (or towels) and drape it over the nose of the car and let the moisture soften the bugs overnight. Makes it easier to remove them the next day. You need to act fast - bug guts will etch into your paint.

Another vote for poorboys bug and tar remover plus a pad like this. Make sure the pad is very soapy and wet. Even though it looks like it will leave scratches it won't. Plenty of us retailers have been using it for years.

Using a good paint sealant is half the battle as you can prevent a good bit of sticking in he first place.

I'm using DP opti coat and have no problem removing with just a good wash shampoo.

they are harder to remove if you do not wax. I use Chemical Guys Bug Bugger watered down in a sprayer, i dont like to use it as a shampoo on all my car when only the front gets bugs. This will remove any wax you have on your car so you need to build it up.

either add it to your normal shampoo and wash (let it sit etc) and then the bugs will fall off.

To make things easier i do snow foam as part of prewash rather than going in to destroy clear coat

Use that on my I5 runs btw so cal & Monterey. Works great - just make sure you're in shade and cool.

Key is to get to any bugs as soon as you can.

Depending on how many, I will hit them with a stream of water (if there are lots) before trying Megs D114 diluted correctly and if that does not work I will use Megs all purpose cleaner. Works for me.

Agree that getting them off quickly is the key. I used 1Z's bug and tar remover and liked it, now that I get our cars coated with CQuart Finest I just use an ONR detail spray mixture.

I use Menzerna Power Lock. No bugs, even after a 500 mile trip.
