Thanks David, I appreciate your thoughts and sentiment!

In two and half years, when I will be looking for another new car, I will be looking again at similar cars I looked at this time, such as the Merc, the Jag (if they are still around) and shock horror, I am also waiting to see what the new Shelby is going to be like.

For the time being though I will continue to enjoy a great car.

You'll be right mate, we've had loads of euros and japs and no problems worth mentioning. I had the steering rack in the F30 which was an excuse to test a 320d loaner for the day. Made me appreciate my car and having options haha

Just noticed my power folding mirrors were malfunctioning. The left mirror/passenger side was not folding out, mirror adjustment not detecting. Issue occurs intermittently but goes away overnight, luckily I was able to demonstrate to the service advisor the intermittent power mirror failure.

Once you have the car and you've had it a while, you will fall in love with it and never be content with any other make,trust me it gets into your blood. And for good reason, you'll find out.

My boot has dropped to the point it touches the bumper. I do use my boot a lot though (about 4 times a day over the last 1.5 years) so we will see how this goes
