Squaking noise at low speeds
Hi everyone!
In the past few months I have noticed an annoying squeaking noise during low speeds. I've at the rear differential replaced, a rear "plate" replaced at BMW without success. Anyone else have this problem and got it fixed? Any other ideas for causes? Many thanks. |

Any more detail about where the squeak sounds like its coming from?
I have a nasty squeaking problem which is from the door seals and is a common problem. Its most prominent under low speed when you go on uneven ground, which casuses the chasis to bend. BMW has a service bulletin on it. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...8&d=1401877732 Link to the thread if you want more details http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...=892087&page=4 Last edited by joz; 08-31-2015 at 03:29 PM.. As for the door seal squeaks, don't take it to the dealer (unless you like multiple trips and no solution).
Go to Amazon.com and pick up a bottle of Gummi Pfledge. It's pretty cheap and AMAZING for solving these squeaking seals on our BMWs. It's applied like old shoe polish, squeeze and push all the way around the door seal. Let it dry, you don't need much. It solved this issue on my 3 series in 5 minutes for 10$. I have heard one application can last months to a year. Good Luck! |

Squeaking noise
Hi guys
Thanks for your input but the squeaking noise is definitely exterior and not from the doors. The frequency changes depending on the speed of rotation of the wheels. Any other possible causes of this annoying squeaking noise? thanks! |
