BUT

the detailer accidentally (imo) made a few fine swirls (very fine scratches) washing the car.. the paint is only a day old, should I use a scratch and swirl remover on it? or should I wait 30 days and get a proper cut and polish before the opticoat? (apparently no wax or opticoat within the first 30 days )

other than that, i love the look, and dont regret paying a couple of hundred bucks over vinyl wrapping (cost difference was about $225, paid $575 for it)

had enough alpine white yet?

Yeah, black and white of this is pretty much pointless.

Two questions:
1. Why was the roof being detailed if the roof was just painted?
2. Why did the detailer not fix it?

i have no freaking idea, maybe he was being nice, and just gave it a wash..

i cant really trust him with anything anymore, thinking of changing detailer.. for all i know he could make it worse..

you think i should wait 30 days for the paint to harden? or is it safe to get someone to detail it then opticoat it now?

Was the detailer with the paint shop?

I'd contact the paint shop and see what they recommend. It's ideal to wait at least 30 days for the paint and clear to set. Given that the guy touched the paint so early, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the cause.

the detailer polished the roof, and all the scratches are gone now

regarding the photo,
lol i was at a cafe, and its embarrassing to take photos of you car while having coffee..
especially in a place littered with mercs, bimmers and porsches

did you get the sharkfin painted as well?? I think based on what I can tell from the picture the side rails were painted. I am looking to do the same thing.. can you post a clearer pic? Thanks!

i was just reading/researching diff threads that had diff information and so i asked and commented accordingly. sorry if that annoyed you. just doing my due diligence prior to getting it done.
