swirl on plastic

i noticed that there's a ton of swirl marks on the black B-pillar plastic piece.
Would scratch X from Meguiars or m105(?) from meguiars work?

If you have a machine polisher use the scratch x on a buffing pad and it will work great. Scratch x does work decently, If you have really deep scratches you may need to use a compound first and then scratch x after to remove the swirls from the compound. Then preferably swirl remover to get it perfect. But yes should work fine. Good luck. Let me know if you need any more tips or help.

i don't have a machine Polisher but i will try Scratch X by hand.
I was kind of doubting on Scratch X on black color because it gave me hologram on black paint. Not sure if black plastic would appear hologram..
I'll just try it anyways

The gloss black on the B pillar is very soft and prone to swirls. Scratch X is probably too abrasive. You should probably have a pro so it with a machine polisher and a less abrasive compound.

Use a very light polish as suggested above. I have some light polish, but I used Meguiars Tech Wax on the B pillar while waxing the car and the swirls came out. It has been a few months and no signs of swirls on the B pillar.

I didn't use M105...just using a light polish of M205 got out all the swirls. Trim looked great.

i was able to get most of the scratches out with Scratch X.
i might use m105 for the ones that i couldn't remove.

Once you get the swirls/scratches out, consider some Xpel film.

I meant to say Swirl X 2.0. It is a much light polish than scratch X. That will do the trick.

The swirls come back almost as fast as you take them out .

I had the same issue, and used 105/205 with pretty good results. Have some pics from an old post ...
