hi charles, thanks so much for posting and your feedback. glad to help however i can and i'll try to keep the more detailed posts. i didn't think anyone cared because lack of feedback so went less specific on the steering wheel install for example. i'll keep up the detail and notes on each mod.

thanks again!

Is this a common thing? What dealer gives an 11.6% discount?

i found 10% to be pretty average over maybe 10-12 deals i saw when buying my car and aimed to be a bit higher than average discount while leaving some skin in the game for the dealer/CA. i was happy with it.

had the windows tinted with 35% ceramic and windshield with 50%. came out perfect.

i usually do 20% all around sans windshield without issue but night time visibility could at times be tough through the side glass.

35% keeps it legal here in MD and looks the part. the 50% windshield is a first for me and perfect as well. almost don't need sunglasses on the daily like normal and keeps the car so much cooler, a combination of the ceramic material's heat rejection i'm sure too, so overall very happy.

had the car put through a color correction, detail, and get a ceramic coat (opticoat) to seal it all for easy washes and minimal maintenance in the future.

i coded the puddle lights to come on when in reverse thinking it would create a bit more visibility when pulling out of parking spaces and the like. i did not consider that it ended up helping out tremendously for top-view reverse camera at night when you cannot see much of anything along the sides.

now with the puddle lights illuminating the top view cameras can pick up very well for great visibility.

shared this with another member recently and thought I would post up here for mass consumption in case others weren't aware.

with the mirror select switch set to the passenger side, the passenger side mirror will no longer tilt downward when the vehicle is in reverse gear.

I found that to be an incredible annoying "feature" and in doing above, am able to turn it off.

I wanted to be able to have a true delta of performance gains between stock MPPSK map fully adjusted (not freshly swapped) and with the dinan elite MPPSK piggyback installed and fully adjusted (not freshly swapped to) so am having a few pulls done today on a dyno to get the plots and see performance of the "before".

mppsk piggyback from dinan should arrive next thursday or so. i'll install, put a couple hundred miles under different loads and driving conditions, which I think should be plenty, then do another dyno session.

if anyone has any suggestions on other manners in which to better conduct this analysis, let me know. i'll try to schedule with similar weather each dyno day. all this will be on pump 93 gas which is what I commonly use for this car.

it seems the data is sparse out there so hopefully it'll benefit the community as well doing it this way even though it's twice as expensive and time-consuming. should be fun to see.

Very decent numbers for the B58. Obviously these are at wheel numbers. Lots of torque available. Gorgeous place and gorgeous Ford GT. Interested to see what your gains will be

also would remark that these are totally realistic and believable numbers that dispel the silliness the floats around about BMW grossly under-rating their engine outputs. If you assume the engine w/MPPSK puts out 350ish and then assume a 15 -17% drivetrain loss (awd) then you should get around 290 at the wheel. The torque number is a little surprising frankly, in a good way - since this is really what we feel and use during normal driving. Anyway the absolute number is not so much the issue as is the delta you'll measure after the upgraded software you are planning - measured on the same dyno being the key. Thanks again for posting this.

taking this from the MPPSK release (@ the crank):
"355hp (+35hp over stock) and 369 lb-ft for auto (+39 lb-ft over stock)"

I was thinking of doing the dinan elite MPPSK piggyback, dyno, then uninstall and install a jb4 piggyback, dyno, then something special for testing which I will discuss as i get closer to finalizing our plan and dyno to have deltas and comparison numbers on the same dyno.

that coupled with real world mannerisms, drive feel, engagement, power, etc would yield me the "best" solution for me, I think.

not cheap but would afford some great information to community and for my own decision making process.

yep, you got it! yeah, the place was great, neat and tidy, engine room was even more organized which is nice to see. the waiting rooms were fancier then I've ever seen with game consoles, tvs, coffee/tea, and comfy chairs, haha.

thanks for following along!
