It is going to be a fun event under new management. bmw cca mandates that people be members (it is an irs tax issue) but please pm me if you're not a member but still want to go. better yet join and get all the benefits of the club! For only $48/year you get discounts on parts and accessories from participating dealers, a world class monthly magazine, Oh and a rebate on your next bmw purchase of no less than $500 if you buy our lease a new or cpo bmw after being a member for at least 12 consecutive months. I have been a member since 1995 and probably have gotten over $3, 000 back. Great roi!
To see more visit losangelesbmwcca.org I will do my best to instruct for any f30 owners that come to the event. |

What time do you start? website said to be there by 8:30 for registration and you will drive till 5pm. I will be at my inlaws in the morning. Is it possible to go for just the afternoon? ie 3-5? Is it still $65?
I drove the Nurburgring in Germany on my ED and I loved it, but I have never tracked my car in the states. Any advice? Thanks again. |

If you don't have a SA2005 or newer helmet, we have loaner helmets available.
F30SD - autocross is a great way to get started in motorsport. All you need is to make sure your tires are properly inflated (estimate 36 psi cold for an F30), the car is empty of ALL loose debris of daily life, and show-up ready to learn and have fun. Roughly 50% of our drivers have never done any motorsport before, and our program is geared to supporting you along the way. As an instructor it is one of my greatest rewards (since we are an all volunteer organization and none of us get paid) to see a newbie smiling, having fun, and getting faster throughout the day. Also for the LA Chapter event you want to be there by 7:30 at the latest. Registration opens at 7:00, first car out is at 9:00 and we will probably end by dusk. I have to leave the event by noon to speak at a graduation ceremony for the law school at which I teach but I will try to help as many F30 folks as I can. Look for my car - it shouldn't be too hard to spot with the ED plates on it! |
