Passenger wiper not aligned?

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know if my passenger side wiper is not resting property? It seems to be much higher than the drivers side. See picture attached.

If anyone can check and let me know. Perhaps upload a picture, too. That would be great.

Thanks,
HMR.

Don't worry,
I have 328i xdrive Msport estoril blue 2014 and the wiper in the passenger side looks exactly the same as yours.

Looks fine to me. It it was higher than the black border on the windshield then readjustment is required.

It's normal.
Only thing with mine is the drivers side has started wacking the windscreen rubber seal on fast wipe.

May be "normal" per the other posters but not within BMW spec. They're supposed to be recessed to help with aero.

Had the same issue with mine and the service rep said it looked normal but would have them check it last time I went in for service. Came back as needing realignment. They fixed it and it's much lower like the drivers.

I wouldn't take it to the dealer just for that unless it really bothers you but it's not resting where it should be.

I beg to differ. This is really where they sit. I know because I had to remove them to gain access to the windshield cowl. Before putting them back, I made sure to look at countless brand new BMWs off the lot and they all sit right under the edge of the black area of the windshield. Maybe yours was higher, but I guarantee the OP that his photos are showing a perfectly normal, within spec, wiper position. If it sat any lower it would hit the bottom seal when wiping fast. They need some clearance because they never come back at exactly the same position. If you get them too close to the seal, they will hit it half the time.

Ok

Mine was similar height as the op s. The dealer adjusted it so that it's highest point is about 2 inches, maybe less, from the top of the black part. It does look like if they only adjusted it straight down it would rub. Mine is about near the edge horizontally as the posters but noticeably lower vertically.
