1st gen iPod video adaptor to integrate with I drive
Morning folks,
I have a 2015 f31 with the standard audio set up, with nav. And I want to integrate my iPod classic video so I can use it through the I drive system. What are my options? Any help appreciated... cheers Ben |

As far as i remember Ipod classic has a 60pin connector and standard usb2.0 at the other end of the cable. You can plug it into the front usb on F31 dashboard (below the AC modul) . You can use your ipod with usb cable, you 'll be able to browse via idrive menu, see the album art, song name, etc. for MP3 format.
If you formatted the ipod, and using as "dumb" thumdrive, then you will have the same result. I mean no additional support for apple GUI, idrive handle only at file level the ipod. Only exception if you have flac files, you have to hardcode the albumart into the file, to see it on the idrive display. In this case use embedding album art app. |
