So I just got in a Hit and Run. Guy behind me rear ended my car, then drove off. I was unable to get the license plate so the cost is going to end up coming from my pocket.

I haven't gone to a body shop to assess the damage, but from the looks of it, the only part that will need to be replaced is the rear bumper. The accident wasn't too bad so all that looks like happened is the rear bumper was pushed out of place, damage to the left side of the bumper, and paint from the other car. Other than that the car seems okay. (The paint wipes off, and the part that was pushed out, pushed back in)

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting their rear bumper replaced? Cost of parts and labor? I'm hoping to not go through insurance and get it repaired as cheaply as possible.

Input and opinions would be great!

Had my front bumper replaced on my mini clubman and it was 1400 I believe. But thats dealer prices
