F32 4 Series Glacier Silver vs Mineral Grey
Hi All
I am about to purchase a 4 series, and there are some final choices to be made so I thought I would run by this forum for a few votes. Hope you can help! Thanks! 1. Glacier Silver or Mineral Grey 2. 18" or 19" alloys I do like the aggressive look on the 19" but the 18" come as standard on M Sport, and should be better ride? If anyone who has 19", without the additional adaptive m sport suspension, please let me know how's the ride? Is the 19" worth the extra £670?

I have mineral grey and wish I had silver instead. why?
1) silver stays cleaner looking longer, dust doesn't show up as fast as it will on the grey. 2) I know you're in the UK, but here in NJ in the steamy summer time mineral grey with black leather is really HOT when you first get in, even with sunroof or windows cracked open a bit. My previous car had silver paint and black inside, not nearly as hot in same kind of weather. Mineral grey is a gorgeous color if that's what you choose (after you wash it, of course) |

MGM on Coral looks so damn good. Silver is boring. Silver is the color you get when you want to wash your car once a month and disappear amongst all the lesser cars in traffic.

I have f30 Silver with 19s and I love it. Ride is fine with 19s and it looks more sportier than 18s. Silver contrast with black better that MG

I'm in the 18" camp. I don't think the 19" wheels are needed for a good look. And 18" tires are less expensive. Many of the previous BMWs you hear people rave about for having better handling than today's BMWs had 15" & 16" wheels and tires. The E30 had 14".

I have the Glacier Silver with the Coral Red interior, GREAT combo with the 19's!!. GS and MG were my top choices as well. GS you see the body lines way better then any dark color.

GS does look sharp with tinted windows. I would strongly suggest saddle brown leather with GS if you go that route. Trust me it is a killer combo but you would never know it until you see it.
That said. 19s for sure. Rides amazingly well. Looks deadly. You will not be disappointed. I have 19s for Summer and 18s for winter so I've ridden in both.

Carbon Black, best colour in the BMW range, especially if you live in a sunny climate.
19"'s look miles better. Specify adaptive suspension and you will rarely notice poor road surfaces Best of luck!

Glacier Silver/Saddle Brown
Here is the link to my ideal F30 build! I think the GS is great for the fact that it looks sharp as heck (yes, even when dirty) and it's GREAT contrast for tints, m splitter/spoiler, mirror caps, etc... Saddle brown leather has been my favorite interior color for a very long time and I think it is a nice combination of unique (as opposed to black, beige, ivory) and classic (as opposed to coral , which I really dislike). I would have gone for silver if they had a ZSP available. Only ZSP on the lot was an MG so I took that one. |

I saw a few more GS since, and I totally agree with the above regarding the bodylines are more prominent in GS.
