F32 428i quad exhaust conversion
I'm looking to convert my exhaust from the 428i single side dual exhaust to the quad 335 exhaust and I just had some questions:
How much would parts and labour be Which parts would I need to purchase Does anyone know a mechanic that can perform this conversion in Toronto? Thanks! |

This isn’t the best forum to ask that question. You’d have better luck for info on what needs to be done in the N20 section.
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=422 You’ll need a new rear diffuser and dual exit muffler. Price depends on what parts you decide to buy. Do a search in the above forum and every exhaust option has been discussed extensively. |

1) Get the AWE/Remus quad exhaust, match it with a rear diffuser. This is the easiest but also the most expensive way. The exhausts are typically around $2k (before tax). The diffuser will cost you close to $200 if Non-CF and more if CF. Install will vary shop to shop but I'd imagine $150-200 to be ballpark. All in around $2700 for the easiest and cleanest install and the best sound. 2) Get an exhaust (stock or aftermarket) meant for 335/340 platform, get a shop to add on aftermarket quad tips. Prices will vary but if you don't care too much about sound and just want the looks, I've seem the stock 335/340 exhaust go for $300-$400 used. You could technically get the M Performance Exhaust and add on quad tips, and those go for $1k usually. Add on labour and tips I would say might be anothef $300ish. So anywhere from $600-$1300 roughly. Go this method for ok to good sound, and likely no drone. 3) Go complete custom. This is what I did. I paid around $1k all in for a shop to do mine. They used a Magnaflow exhaust with quad tips. Go for this for the cheapest option and completr customization, however drone is most likely going to be a thing. Up to you if that bothers you or not. 4) Buy my exhaust since I've been debating just getting an M Performance Exhaust myself. Let me know if you have any questions. |
