How many numbers do I have to match to buy the right headlight assembly?
Long story short, I want to buy a new set of headlights for my F34, problem is, I am unsure how many numbers does it need to match for it to work. For example, my headlights are labeled as 63117470422-03 (right) and 63117470421-03 (left) and I found a cheap pair that is 6311747042X-02 or 6311747042X-01. Does the last two digits after dash matter? I am unsure if I have to get the exact full 13 digit number or just the 11 before the dash. If needed, I can provide pictures. Thanks in advance.

Interesting... The part numbers are the EUR version of AHL LED headlights. These are completely different that I have on my North America spec LCI car.
To answer your question about "-##" at the end - this is the Revision number of the specific component. In your case, the -03 means that your headlights are Revision 3, and somehow they are different/improved compared to -01s or -02s. I'd be careful with considering potentially obsolete parts as they could have some flaws that required adjustment with the next revisions.

All right, I'll be careful how I choose my headlights. Thanks for the insight. Is there a chance you know a website that sells OEM parts in Europe? Sorry to reply so late, I had my head wrapped around in work and I did not see the email followed by your reply.
All the best. |
