MPPK Warranty
Contemplating the MPPK for my car, 330d (xd).
What's the deal with warranty? My car will be 3 years old in a couple of months and wondering if I got the remap would any issues engine/ecu related only be covered until the end of the manufacturers warranty or would it extend from a year (or whatever parts are) from the point of installation? Any thoughts prior to asking dealer? |

Any non BMW approved mod will not be covered by warranty.
MPPK is covered and the parts will have a full yr of there own also. Lots of threads on MPPK and shop about BMW dealers for best price. I had my one fitted for just under 1k. |

Very grey area I'm guessing. Yup last time I enquired I think it was about £900 odd plus 2 hours labour but could probably get close to 1k all in. |

Legally you either a) have a warranty, or, b) don't. BMW may provide some goodwill if you you had an engine failure, but this would be extremely unlikely to be due to the MPPK as it runs a modest (but useful) state of tune and will have been developed with extensive testing.
BMW offers an extended insured warranty which can be comprehensive or on the basis of named components.
