In the market for a new car

So my lease is coming up on my e92 M3. I am looking at the 335i Msport or the 550i Msport, but can't decide. The difference of the payment is $400 from the 335i to the 550i. Any suggestions???

If you don't need the extra room the 335 will be nicer to drive. That's pretty much it.

The above poster said it well.

Also, I don't think the difference in lease payment between the 335 and 550 should be that much. It sounds like the dealership might be marking things up a lot, at least on the 550, if not both cars.

335 M-Sport vs. 550 M-Sport?

Good problem to have. Decisions. Decisions.

If price is no object . . . 550. But, I've never driven it.

Coming out of an m3, I would think the 335i would be a good choice and size increase while still keeping the car relatively small. The new 3s are really only slightly s,aller than the last gen 5, Lots of leg room in the back of mine, which was a nice surprise.

I just went from a 550i xDrive MSport to my 335i xDrive Msport. For me, the 550 was big, heavy, and rode horribly on the all-season run flat 19's. In fact, I blew through nearly a dozen wheels or tires in 18 months. I hear that the summer tires on a 550 don't have the same issues as the 19 all seasons, so go in with your eyes open. The 550 got an average of 18mpg and the 335 (two tanks in) is averaging over 25mpg and getting well over 35 on highway trips. For me, the 335 is everything that the 550 was not. Much more sporty and nimble than the 550 for sure.

I posted a short review with some other comparisons in this forum, take a look.

Regards,
