Nop, it's pretty likely that Estoril Blue is gone for good.
Same thing happened to the Sahkir Orange for the M3 and M4, people thought it was just a glitch since it happened without notice, and other countries are still offering the color.

At the time I was looking to purchase my E90 back in Dec of 10, I wanted something other than black. They had a white car waiting for me but it was not sporty enough. I saw a what was similar to EB, just don't remember the exact color and my SA talked me away from it saying if you are buying it and plan to get rid of it that is not the color to buy. Resale on that color is horrible unless you are private party selling. He point was stay black, white or silver. I did not buy it but still think it's an awesome color.

I just bought my wife a 2014 EB 328i xDrive M-Sport. It only has 5k miles and has every option available on it. Great car, awesome color. Goes well next to my e93 Melbourne Red M3. As you can probably tell, we like the "off" colors...

I just checked the BMW site in Germany again and I can still order it for any F3x model with M-Sports.

Nothing at all indicates that the color will be removed for good. Go to your dealer and have them check.

No way they'd do that.

It's not uncommon for less popular colors to be discontinued when leading up to an LCI or new chassis, which is likely what's happening here.

EB will come back with the LCI I'm sure.
I think everyone missed this post.

It's happened in the past.... SO on the M3/4. Sparkling Graphite on the E9X is another one that comes to mind.

We already know that a new blue is coming with the LCI, although we don't know if that will be replacing EBII or complementing it.

There may be a gap of a few months where you can't order an EBII car, but come July, we'll be singing the blues again.

Was Long Beach Blue slated to be available for the 3er and 4ers?

It has nothing to do with criticizing the color. It has to do with resale value of the car. But if you're leasing it doesn't matter.

Like dealers would actually give you more money on a trade in if it wasnt EBII.

You could trade in a pink car and they'll still give you the same amount

100% Agreed!!!!!
In addition, there will always be a "blue" color offered by BMW.

I think it was Midnight Blue Metallic or Deep Blue Sea Metallic, but it was to be an additional color, not a replacement.

If EBII is going away, I'm hoping for at least Le Mans Blue as a replacement.

Not that a testing mule is canon for finalized colors, but the F30 LCI 340 testing car was in EBII.

Color doesn't matter on a trade. On a private sale, EBII is a color unique to the m-sport. I'm sure in a few years there will be enough enthusiasts looking specifically for it in the used market. So it'll be a small but determined group, like people looking for a used manual transmission or an imola red E46 ZHP.

I really hope its discontinued. In a massive city like LA i already see too much of it on the 3 series and enough on the 4/2 series. Besides my bias of having the color, i think bright unique paints should be limited or otherwise they start to become the norm.

You realize what you see in L.A. literally has ZERO relation to what is happening in the world outside of California? I don't mean that as hyperbole. It is literally its own place in time and space that has no relation to reality.

I would say it has zero relation outside of LA itself, I know when I was in NorCal we pretty much ignored and derided the lunatics in LA. LOL

Almost makes me really wish I had gottn my F31 in EB2. I like the clean, sleekness of the white though, and the S4 is already "look at me blue" LOL.

It is sad that it is now common for car companies to offer maybe 2 or 3 colors, and then everything else is different shades of gray.

That may be true, but we still have to live here. By the way, do you have cars where you live? What about man made structures we call houses, do you have those?

Lol by that reasoning it's still available for order in California. Joking aside, I wasn't insinuating any surprise. I didn't say the color was too popular to be be discontinued just that I see it a lot.

Ps. Specifically in the auto industry, what i see in LA has a hell of a lot related to what is happening elsewhere... in this case, directly where California has the largest BMW sales in North America, where this color was discontinued.

But also emissions, parts, testing, headquarters, prototyping, designing... but yeah what you said.

So you are "literally" wrong with your bias

Heard from a dealer who reached out to the factory -- EBII will be back in production later this year. According to BMW NA, it was due to the color requiring a special process and that the factory's planned allocation for the 2015 model had been filled. Guessing it'll be back for 2016 models?

As to why the 4 GC's continue to have the option is beyond me
