What's the difference between Estoril II and Estoril blues?
I've seen the F30 M Sport Estoril Blue color referred to as Estoril Blue II.
Is there a difference between the Estoril Blue that came on previous cars and the one that comes on this car? |

Estoril Blue was a solvent based paint, and Estoril Blue II is a water based paint.

No 2 paints are ever the same; even different lots of the same paint. Converting a paint from solvent to water base will result in some difference as the composition has changed. Since there haven't been any real life pictures of the 2 versions next to each other, it is hard to tell if BMW tried to keep it as close as possible or took the opportunity to make some tweaks. Once the M-Sport cars start showing up, some better comparisons can be made.
