340i Possible Order

Well I think I made my decision and I'm gonna order the 340i. If I do, I plan on going to the performance center delivery as I had a blast last time.

Order:
340i
Paint: Black Sapphire Metalic (I know boring but I can't seem to fall in love with any other color and I'm not paying for individual)
Interior: sakhir orange merino leather (hopefully I get approved to do this, only 500$ more)
M pkg
Track pkg
Orbit grey wheels
Manual tranny
Navigation (I can't stand the smaller screen if you don't select this option)
Black kidney grills
M sport steering wheel alcantara (port installed, I'm not 100% sure you can though)

Including the steering wheel MSRP: 56,650

Speaking with my broker now, trying to get sell price at like 50k. I know it'll be hard but I'll probably call like 20 dealers if it doesn't workout with him.

If anyone has any experience with ordering the merino leather on a 3 series, please chime in. I know it's night and day but wanted get input on how the order process was.

Also if someone can confirm or not if you can get the m sport steering wheel port installed.

To each is own but with the amount of credits in addition to standard price negotiations it is 100% better to order the $50k+ car with navigation and then working the price down in this situation.

Not to mention you'll technically void the warranty on any connected electronics if something does go wrong.

Drive was awesome. Plenty of mountain roads.

Stopped in Orlando for the night and then drove the rest the next day.

Worst part about PCD is that you have to wait 1-2 weeks longer for the car.

Just spoke to broker, they said the M steering wheel (alcantara) is only available for M cars. Is that true?

He also said that the mernio leather in sakir orange is only for the M3. Can't that be special ordered?

Yes it can? Maybe the broker doesn't wanna deal with individual options?

Just curious, why do you go through a broker???

I don't normally. I just know sometimes they can get pretty insane deals and then I use that as a baseline for when I call other dealers.

Not only did he say he can't do those options, he only offered 5% off. I got more at my local dealer.

So they should be able to do both the leather and the steering wheel?

Sounds like a crappy broker! Yea, price I can't comment but you can.

Alcantara steering wheel is a port installation. As far as the SO merino goes thats not part of their individual interior choices so it would be 5k+ i beleive even if approved.

Even if its offered on the M3? That's a bummer, don't really like any of the reds in the merino

$5k for a full interior change is not that outrageous. They charge considerably more on M's for subtle changes like contrast stitching.

The M Performance wheel should be available, but it won't show up in the order system. I would recommend you work with a CA that has experience with Individual orders and good connections at the VPC.
