I used 2 5A fuses on the tap side, since I don't anticipate the Multisafer and the dash cam pulling anything signficant. |

Thanks for the help on this. Installed the cameras at the weekend and they work great.
I did solder the wires from the add-a-fuse to the yellow/red wires for extra piece of mind. One thing I am noticing is that due to the sun protection pack the on the rear window, the rear camera footage is a bit dark. |

Just wondering do you still have the setup? Not sure if related, cam is still working fine, but I'm noticing Auto Start-Stop refusing to engage even after long drives. Not sure if it's my 5 year old battery unable to hold enough charge to maintain the stop-start voltage. Still no drain issues messages. f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1372830 |

what's up A13x.
#143 is ACC or the red wire. (5A + 5A) #100 is CON/BATT or the yellow wire. (15A + 5A) Make sure black wire is grounded to screw by the commbox. which is between the fuse area. |

Using a MS MultiSafer which continues to flash red every second If i power car off the camera has constant feed of power. if i switch the MS multisafer it will kill the power whenever the car is turned off. i know that 161 is live when engine is off |

Check if the 161 powers down after the car sleeps by leaving the door/trunk to open so you can access the fusebox about 30 mins later with a multimeter.

My DDpai dashcam came with a cable too short to reach the fusebox or battery in the trunk of my F30. I installed the cable the same way as the topic starter but the small box is hanging loose near the backseat. Are there any longer cables available or are they all the same length?

Maxblast, perhaps start a separate thread about your specific DDpai dash cam.
So just got back my car after service (oil change, etc.) and no error message about battery discharging. I had a loaner car so no rush to pick up my car. It was left at the dealership for about 33 hours, and confirm they completed all services thru video/sound playback on my tablet using the blackvue app 64GB mirco sd card installed. |

Did someone installed a rear camera on a F36 Gran Coupe? How the rear camera cable was routed into the hatch?
I am specifically looking on how you 'fish' the cable to the hatch through the grommet at the top of the roof. Any insight? |

The cable can be easily fed trough the hatch grommet. I just installed mine.

Add A Fuse
Does anyone who's completed this have any add a fuse taps they can spare? Amazon charges $6-$7 for a 5 pack minimum (or even individually). Can't justify spending $12-$14 for taps that I'll likely use only for this. Also can it be confirmed 1 mini and 1 standard tap is required? TIA!
