Well... I was hoping by replacing the tail light plug that it would resolve my issue with the outer brake light. Turns out that even after replacing the 6 pin plug that shorted out and switching over to Depo LCI tail lights, the issue still remains. Even prior to switching over to LCI, I rewired directly to the tabs on the bulb socket.

Has anyone had the same issues that I am currently facing? Next step is to check continuity and see if I can trace the the wire down to the issue along with checking if any fuses have blown... again.

The issue I'm facing is the turn signal not working and the tail light not staying on unless I apply the brakes.

Any help would be appreciated

If the problem only applies to the brake light run a wire to it from the right side brake light.

I'll give that a try! Thank you!

This might help tracking down the wiring.

Slap to the face here... I noticed that the plug I replaced shorted out on the black/yellow wire and not the ground(brown) which seems to be the issue in most cases. Could there be something that isn t being communicated to the FEM to REM?

*ignore the wires attached to this plug as they are not related to the original wire color.

Did you manage to solve the issue?
