Just did a calc and list price of car plus your options is$78,681. If u get this u r doing really well. Any lower and u r legendary.

I would get a few quotes for a 1 year lease and total the after tax outlay. This can be quite competitive with buying outright. That's what I did to get my dealer to give me list price as I had a very real alternative if they didn't give me list.

Since your list goes over the lct threshold, list could be harder. Good luck.

Drive away, on the Redbook website - $82,288.00 (Vic)

Gonna go for 10%. So aiming for circa $74,000 drive away.
Not sure if u can get the sports seats on the luxury line. Happy to be corrected here. But pricing wise sounds about right I'd say 75-77 .

Did you include Dealer Delivery for the onroad cost?
You can get them to discount that off the normal $3k price - but thats part of the discount when they negotiate! - so really your car should be $85288 (using your figures), and then work out the discount from there.

Option 481: BMW Sport Seats for driver and front passenger is included in Sport Line (7AC) and M Sport Package (337), but is an option on the rest.

You can download the 3 Series Specification Guide (PDF) which lists the models, lines, packages, standard & optional equipment (but no prices) from the BMW Oz website.

Ok, guys here is my current proposed spec for your thoughts on pricing. My goal is to create something a little special, so i realise there is some cost penalty, but lets see how we go

328
M sport
Tanzanite blue (indiv)
Cashmere beige (indiv)
Adaptive suspension
M performance brakes
Variable steering
Rear view camera
Sun blinds for rear side windows
Bi xenon
Extended connectivity
Navi pro

Then the 3 other options I am considering but could leave out if price gets to be a factor are
Surround view
Sunroof
19 inch wheels

Look forward to your thoughts!

Get the roof.

I think 19" are standard on the M-sport pack?

Surround you won't miss - camera, sensors and mirrors are more than enough. Nice gadget though.

Would strongly recommend the HUD.

You may be right re the 19s on msport, and yes, i think i need the roof too; apart from ny 1M havent had a car without sunroof for a long time.

Re HUD, love the idea of it, just a question of whether its worth 2k?

Thanks David, one more reason to go m sport, and it will pay for that sunroof!

Can our resident gurus figure out what I should be shooting for as drive away price? Will also try to figure out on redbook

Nice spec. Tanzanite Blue is best colour. If I was not so mean, I'd have specced it with the Individual Leather seats.

Surround view could be most useful + Park Assist.

19" wheels don't ride as well IMO but look great.

Sunroof? But then why order sunblinds? Is it necessary with climate control? Also, makes the car heavier, less stiff and it can rattle.

It really depends on what car you had previously. I had 7 years of the wonderful E90 but it has a stiff and rock hard suspension.

Now I just smile when I drive my F30, as in comparison, the F30 feels like its gliding on air. Very smooth.

And the new run flats are a bit softer. I test drove 18 and 19 and I don't think the ride is affected at all by the 19 with the new softer setup and new run flats. If you like the look of the 19's I'd go for them.

I'm pretty sure it will ride softer than my 1M, so yep, depends what you're accustomed to

95-100 seems a little high from what I can figure out - any other estimates?
