Will 12.5mm spacers work on rear?

I'm constantly reading 15mm is the smallest you should go in the rear. I have a set of 12.5mm Rennsport spacers I'd like to throw on.

What's the current offset in the rear? You may want to go smaller if your wheels are aftermarket because they may poke out too much and cause problems
