I dig everything so far except the eye-lids (eye lashes?). Looks like eyeliner drawn in....a bit feminine. How about carbon fiber lip instead of lashes?

I'm curious to see how the eye lids would look if it was color matched to the body

Hey man, great work on the car, you have the knack for that carbon fabric for damm sure. Question, the carbon mirror caps, are they the full replacement cap or the stick on kind that go over the existing caps? Let me know when you get a sec thanks.

I have it but to be honest didnt really like it. I would prefer real CF for the bimmer. The wrap would look good on a civic

Autotecknic Strut Bar

So I was up against the wall on this because some folks were telling me that a strut bar will not make a difference for the f30 due to the suspension set up and cross bars in the front. IVe always been a fan of a strut bar when it comes to performance and had JIC, cusco and some other types installed on previous vehicles. So when I installed the AUTOTECKNIC strut bat which there brand is not really known for performance products I was surprised. Here are some pics of the install.

Broke it down into pieces for a better install.

Installed on the mount, went with 16ftlb or so of torque

Loosened these bolts to get some play when installing the bar

Put the bar on and tightened down.

What I liked about this construction is one it feels very sturdy, and because the ends are in sections, it is easier to fit. Previous strut bars I used have one bolt and but at each end which did not give it too much play and I could already feel the pressure of the bar when tightening down which is not good. Probably had 2 bars snapped before. The fitment is awesome leaving 2 mm of space between the engine cover and the bar. As for the test drive I turned hard down the street and felt less body roll for sure even tho my car is still at the stock height. All in all a solid MOD.

I am curious to hear more on this mod as you drive your car more. I wonder if these would make a difference for someone who already has coilovers?

Quality looks great though!

Every car I have modded had coilovers and a front and rear strut bar. I can tell you for sure you can feel a difference on hard turns. I def got less body roll for sure
