"Stock" 2014 328i XDrive Rim and Tire Suggestions?

Hey there. New here and I'm sure this has been beaten to death in the past so go easy on me... I'm looking for rim/tire size suggestions for my stock 328i. I don't plan on lowering it (just yet)....so I'm looking for a rim and tire size that would lower the car and take up some/most of the wheel gap. I notice that a lot of people run slimmer tires in the front and wider tires in the back. I'd be open to those suggestions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks~

1. What's your current set up?

2.... biggest question of all...what's your budget $?

3. Are you gonna switch between summer and winter rims/tires or use all seasons?

4. Are you wanting a square or staggered set up?

Wheel and tire size does not take up any gap, nor does it lower the car. When you go up in wheel size, you need to go down in aspect ratio to keep the drivetrain happy. For instance, my wife's 328d has 225/50R17 (might be what you have.) An 18" wheel would need a 225/45R18, to keep the circumference (and diameter of the overall combo) the same. The tire is thinner, but the wheel is bigger.

Thanks for responding. Yes, currently I'm running 225/50R17 on all 4. I reached out to VMR this afternoon and they suggested for an 18' rim.

"18x8.5 in the front with a 225/45/18 tire and 18x9.5 in the rear with a 255/40/18 tire. "

I'm feeling pretty confident about this choice. What do you think?

You can check on tirerack.com to make sure. But I'm pretty sure that that's the OEM 18" sizes, and will work perfectly.

If you want a cost effective really good solution look into 18" BBS either SR or SX with a square setup and DWS06 or something similar. High quality wheel at a low price.

Thank you for the suggestion but after some research I think I'm gonna go with 18" VMR V710's staggered. Front: 225/45/18 Rear: 255/40/18.
