Light or dark?

Does the 3gt look better in light or dark colours. Mineral grey is my favourite colour, but can't help thinking silver looks better on the f34...

I have Midnight Blue, which is nice when clean but gets dirty easily, as will any dark color. If I was ordering it I'd get Kalahari Beige, because it's rarely seen and would also rarely need washing. Whatever you decide on coat the car with Menzerna Power Lock, and you'll wash it a lot less, as most dirt will just wipe off with a micro-fiber cloth.

In my opinion, 3GT looks better in dark colors. I also have midnight blue, which looks different at different times of day. If I had to purchase another one, I will go for midnight blue, imperial blue, or red.

I think that it depends on the line too - for luxury I would choose dark colors all the time - the contrast with the chrome elements is very impressive. For the M sport Mineral grey is great, but glacier silver and white are sexy as hell too!

I hope that there will be some other color options with this LCI too! A platina like grey between mineral and glacier could be fantastic.

True, but then you have to go M Sport. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Came from a mineral grey F31. I don't think silver is the most exciting color, but I actually think it looks quite good on my F34 M sport. It shows all the lines very well, shade effects and I don't have to wash it all the time

Agreed it really does depend on the line (Type) you are going for.

Light colors with Sport package (i.e., black accents and trim).

Darker colors with other lines with chrome accents, trim.

I think it's a matter of contrast. With low contrast to the trim color, the styling does not pop.

I agree, it depends on the line and options. I like dark colors too, but I think the back of the GT looks better in lighter colors, just my personal taste.

I have the same combo as tores and am very happy with the choice: M-Sport, glacier silver, Shadow Line, 19" Bicolor M598.

Silver is normally a bit boring, but with the black/dark-grey contrasts of the M-Package I love it.

I would never have ordered a blue car out of choice but my MSport does look rather nice in Estoril blue and oyster leather. Not sure if it is worldwide but Estoril blue can only be had on MSport variants in the UK.

In my very humble opinion dark paint with light interior and vice versa generally works well. But a nice darkish silver with red leather is about as nice as it gets, malt bough the Mrs doesn't agree😜

Love silver cars on BMWs as they show the lines well. Here is my new 340i

My GSM 335i

'14 GSM 335i M Performance Edition on Coral Red. Just added VMR V803's and color matched rear lip spoiler. Next add is H&R Sports.

When I was shopping for my BMW I really never thought about Silver, but I must say, the shadows that Glacier Silver Metallic captures really shows the muscular body lines of the car. Looks great in the sun!

Not all colours suit all cars. What may look good on an F31,F32 may not necessarily look good on an F34...just saying.
