To those with new m-sports,
What is the brand of summer tires your cars are coming with?

You don't like the S001's?
S001 on my 335i Msport. They are actually pretty darn good. They stick very well, and have excellent cornering grip. But they are RFT's, and they can't hide that when hitting moderate and bigger bumps, that's when they get quite harsh. On smooth roads they ride very well and are pretty quite, with just a bit of a "rrrrrrr" sound on concrete roads. I'm swapping to a set of non RFT's next month, either Bridgestone RE970 or Conti DWS. |

Potenza S001's on ours. I've had F1 Asymmetric, F1 Asymmetric A/S, Pilot Super Sport, Nitto NT-05, FK-452, Potenza S0-3, Potenzo RE-01R's and a few others on cars in the last few years. S001's are plenty decent thus far. No complaints.

S001's here, I'm happy with them considering they are a Runflat much improved ride quality and noise over the RE050's
Michelin Pilot Super Sports going on as soon as my wheels arrive

I just checked my new 335i and it has the S001 Potenza's.
One interesting thing is that the rear are 255/40 on mine, but I think OEM on the M sport is 245/40... Strange that BMW would run 255/40 from the factory if that is the case. Tirerack.com shows 245/40 as standard rear M Sport staggered. |

really wish BMW would give you the choice when ordering! would save BMW some cash as well, Michelin Super Sports for instance are $400 less for the set than 18" run flats they are putting on. i would gladly let BMW keep that $400 if they shipped the car with the Super Sports... |

I wish my wheels had A/S tires on it, then I could justify getting the 19" BBS CH-R's for summer. :-D

TireRack shows 225/255 as OEM. Click on the "optional" tire sizing for 18's or 19's and it will show you. |
